Meet Liz Christy as she reveals the inspiration behind her designs and her love of textiles. Liz demonstrates the specialist, eco-friendly processes involved in creating high-quality bespoke handmade pieces, from designing to hand dying and hand-weaving. Soak up the sounds of the busy studio with the clacking of the flying shuttles or witness the quiet concentration of threading or tying on a warp. Chat with the artists as they work and gain an insight into how the designs are inspired by nature and an innate flair for colour and art! Take home a LizzyC Sheep Keyring made by Liz as a memento of your visit. Watch as artist Louise Loughman demonstrates Batik Art by skilfully drawing on silk with hot wax and hand painting the layers of beautiful colour.
