We are just a five-minute walk to Bus Eireann bus stop, on the Monaghan – Castleblayney route.

Driving Direction from South

Travelling by car to Liz Christy Studios from Dublin / Ardee / Carrickmacross 

  • Follow the M1 from Dublin
  • Take exit #14 onto N33 for Ardee
  • At the Carrickmacross roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the N2 towards Monaghan/Derry
  • Continue on the N2 to the Castleblayney roundabout, then take the 2nd exit onto R181 towards Castleblayney town centre
  • At the T-junction traffic lights of York St and Main St, turn left onto Main St
  • At the small roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the R183 towards Monaghan
  • Pass through Annyalla Village, and after re-entering the 80kph zone, turn left opposite the Liz Christy brown sign, then turn right to see the purple ‘Welcome to Swallow Studios’ sign
  • Turn right onto the ‘old road’ and proceed to our entrance on the right. Note: Do not follow Google Maps past this point as it may mislead you

Driving Direction from North

Travelling by car to Liz Christy Studios from Armagh:

  • Take the A3 out of Armagh in the direction of Monaghan. The A3 crosses the border and becomes the N12. 
  • Turn left onto the R213. 
  • Turn left onto the N2. 
  • At the next Roundabout, take the 2nd exit to stay on the N2. 
  • Take the Annayalla exit (which is a sharp left turn). 
  • Turn right onto the R183 in the direction of Annayalla. Drive 3km. 
  • You will see the village sign for Annyalla. Turn right into the lane (Swallow Studios signpost) which is directly opposite the Annyalla sign. Drive along the lane and the entrance is on the left.

Driving from Monaghan

Travelling by car to Liz Christy Studios from Monaghan: 

  • From Monaghan head south on the N2, in the direction of Castleblayney and Dublin. 
  • At Corlat Roundabout, take the 2nd exit to stay on the N2. 
  • At the next Roundabout, take the 2nd exit to stay on the N2. 
  • Take the Annayalla exit (which is a sharp left turn). 
  • Turn right onto the R183 in the direction of Annayalla and drive 3km. 
  • You will see the village sign for Annyalla. Turn right into the lane (Swallow Studios signpost) which is directly opposite the Annyalla sign. Drive along the lane and the entrance is on the left.

Parking at Location

On-site car parking is available, as well as parking on a private through-road adjacent to the studios. Additionally, bus parking is provided on the same private through-road, ensuring convenient access for all types of visitors to the studios.

Our studio is designed with accessibility in mind, ensuring that all visitors can comfortably navigate our space. We offer accessible parking close to the main entrance, which features a wheelchair-accessible ramp for convenience. The studio itself is designed to be navigable for visitors using wheelchairs or other mobility aids. Additionally, we have an accessible restroom equipped with handrails and ample space for maneuvering. For visitors who may require a low-stimulation environment, we also offer sensory-friendly tour options upon request.
